SPG Activities
Why Sports?
The Apostle Paul urges us in I Corinthians, Chapter 9 to “use all means in order to save some.” Sports can be one of those means. It is a unique, all-terrain vehicle without limitation. Sports is universal in its appeal, a common denominator opening doors to all levels of society. It is international in scope without cultural or social hang-ups. It moves swiftly through all differences – race, religion, age and sex. Most importantly, sports has proven itself over the years as a viable tool for evangelism and as a means to disciple new believers.
Just What Is Sports Ministry?
Sports Ministry is any program or strategy that uses sports as a vehicle to fulfill Christ’s command to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations. It is using sports to evangelize and disciple with the emphasis on making disciples
The Sports Prayer Group believes in partnership and would like to encourage Holy Spirit-filled Christians to join us in God's agenda to transform our communities through, repentance, renewal, intercession, unity and community action.

Sports Chaplaincy
The SPG is always looking for men/women of God to mentor sports people and act as spiritual guides and counsellors, before, during and in-between sporting events.

|
Evangelism
The SPG needs compassionate Christians who would like to enlarge our evangelism/missions unit, for major events ministry. Evangelism during major and school sports events helps to add more to God' Kingdom. Fulfilling the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19) is for evry Christian, and evangelism through sports is the biggest area of growth in the world presently.
